👉 Allowlisting means giving a brand permission to run paid ads using your handle, without you needing to post the video yourself.

If your contract requires you to post your video first and then provide the brand with a usage code, see these guides instead:

You're almost done! Your brand partner has approved your video, and now it's time to upload it in a way that allows them to boost it as a paid ad using your handle—without you posting it publicly.

Follow the steps below to complete your deliverable and unlock payment.

Instructions for Instagram

Please follow the instructions here. If you do not have your brand's business ID, contact your 1stCollab representative for help.

Instructions for TikTok

Step 1: Publish your video.

  • Publish the approved video.

Step 2: Enable advertising.

  • Go to your profile, and find the video.

  • Tap the three dots (...) on your approved video.

  • Toggle ON “Allow advertiser to use this video”

Step 3: Make the video private

  • Then immediately set visibility to “Only me” after enabling ad authorization. TikTok will still allow the brand to use the post for Spark Ads.

Step 4: Send the Code to the Brand

  • Go to Profile > Settings > Creator Tools > Ad Settings

  • Copy the Video Code

  • Submit it on your partnership page for approval along with a link to your private video.

  • You're done! Next, your brand partner will confirm everything looks good and that the ad code works for them, and will release payment.
