Unfortunately, we do not support payments through PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, and other peer-to-peer payment platforms. Instead, we pay creators directly to their bank accounts.
We do this to ensure you get more of your money. Because we do a direct bank transfer, you pay no fees for receiving payment. (If you were to use PayPal, for example, they would pocket over 5% of your payment as a "transaction fee"). If you need to convert from U.S. dollars to another currency, we charge around 1%—we don't make money on this; we deduct exactly how much it costs us in foreign exchange fees. Meanwhile, PayPal and other providers often charge over 20%!
We also do this to ensure you don't get audited by your tax authorities—like the Internal Revenue Service. Our payment platform (powered by Stripe) handles taxes for you. If you were to get paid via PayPal, you'd need to figure out taxes on your own—and trust us, you don't want to be in that situation!
